Our journey
From a grassroots initiative to a government-recognised skill development and rural development institution.
Established in 1997 (Reg. No. 91/1997), Spurthi Rural Development Society began with a clear purpose: to unite the poorest communities and build human capital for sustainable development. What started as a focused local initiative has grown into a comprehensive rural development organisation.
Over nearly three decades, we have evolved from traditional community programmes into a leading skill development institution. Our work now spans multiple states, with a primary focus on Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, while extending outreach across North, East, North-East, and South India — touching thousands of lives through structured interventions.
Today, SRDS stands as a dependable partner for rural communities, bridging rural talent and employment opportunity through government-aligned skill training, placement support, and community development. Across all programmes, we have reached 25,000+ beneficiaries and transformed 11,500+ lives through documented delivery.
